project_ Colorado River: The Last Stretch, booklet design for the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
description_ The objective of this project was to create a booklet based off the history of surveying the Colorado River. The goal in creating this booklet, was to create visual imagery that would mimic the beauty of the river. The grid structure is consistent throughout, but the layouts of each page rhythmically move up and down, referencing the striation in the canyons.
typography_ I used Helvetica and Caslon typefaces for this piece.
